This Chrome extension does not collect, store, share, or sell any personal data.

The extension does not collect any personal information such as:
names
email addresses
IP addresses
browsing history
location data
payment information
cookies
No analytics tools or tracking scripts are used.
2. How the Extension Works
The extension performs only one function:
It shortens URLs manually submitted by the user.
The long URL you enter is sent to the UrlShoter API only after you click “Shorten”.
Nothing is sent automatically.
Your API key is stored locally in Chrome storage and never transmitted to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
We do not share any data with:
advertisers
analytics services
third parties
Your data is not sold or transferred.
4. Permissions Explanation
The extension uses only necessary permissions:
activeTab — to read the current URL only when you click the popup.
storage — to store your API key locally.
contextMenus — to add a right-click “Shorten link” option.
host permissions — to send a shortening request to UrlShoter.com only after user action.
No background tracking or hidden data collection is performed.
